Judging for 2010

Postby gaggedutopia » Sun Oct 04, 2009 1:09 am

In about 5 months the 2010 Bondage Awards will be kicking off. While it may seem like a long time away, we need to start completing a list of people who would be interested in judging. Before everyone raises their hand, there are some things I want to mention first:

  1. We are looking for industry professionals (or those who play the part well ;) ). Photographers, Models, Producers, Webmasters (Pay and Free), Artists, Writers... all categories.
  2. If anonymity is a concern, let me know. I would rather have 100 anonymous judges than 10 who have no privacy issues.
  3. One person per company, organization, website or group.
  4. You must be willing to provide me with reliable contact information (something you check often). Email or Twitter are preferred.

Lastly, if privacy is a concern, feel free to email me at john[@]bondageawards[.com]. Otherwise, feel free to express your interest or questions in the posts below.

I would appreciate any help in spreading the word. Thanks to everyone, past and future, for your support.

I'd be happy to be a judge! I'm a bondageophile, rigger, artist, author, and own 2 bondage websites -- BondoFox.Net and DereksCorner.Com.

Call on me anytime I can help!

Best knots,

There is still plenty of room for more judges for this year's Bondage Awards. We have a dozen or so people participating so far but looking for a lot more! Post here or send me a message if you're interested.

I'd be more than happy to be a judge.
Even though I do not own/operate a site, however I'm very familiar with alot of bondage sites, models, directors, bondage positions, types of gags, armbinders, etc. I have over 10 years + in bondage and self-bondage

Thank you for the interest and willingness to help. For this year the judging will be limited to only to those who work in the industry. This process and stage is new so next year may be different. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted if it does change.

To answer your question quickly, Yes you can judge and have a site in the running. Here are the full set of judging rules and guidelines for 2010. I don't have my notes in front of me right now so I may amend it a bit later.

  1. All judges must be eligible for an award in at least one category.
  2. Judges may not vote for themselves or personal interests. Personal interest include employers, business partners or other significant relationships.
  3. There may only be one person per organization or website.
  4. Judges votes will not be published to prevent damaging the judges social and/or business relationships.
  5. The judging panel will be published AFTER voting has been completed.
  6. Judges are permitted to advertise that they are a judge before voting has been completed.
  7. Judges can publish their votes after the awards have been announced.
  8. Judges will make one selection from each category. Selections will be made from the top 20 candidates as selected from Stage 2.

I hope this answers any questions anyone might have about how the judging will work. Please let me know if I should clarify anything.
